An online hub dedicated to country swing dancing, designed to help dancers learn moves, explore line dances, discover events and venues, and grow as a community.
As an instructor for the BYU Country Swing Dance Club, I noticed that dancers often struggled to find consistent, organized information about moves, technique, and where to dance. Many moves had different names across regions, online resources were fragmented, and most existing platforms featured only a limited catalog of moves.
To solve this, I built CountrySwing.dallinking.com, a centralized resource that:
- Catalogs over 150+ moves with clear start and end positions to help dancers naturally connect combinations.
- Provides detailed line dance directories with easier navigation than existing databases like CopperKnob.
- Lists venues and events, connecting dancers to local opportunities.
- Includes technique guides and competition histories to help dancers improve and stay engaged.
This site consolidates scattered resources into one cohesive platform—making learning, referencing, and exploring country swing easier and more intuitive. It’s also a growing part of the DallinKing.com ecosystem, which focuses on creating interconnected tools that enhance how people learn, organize, and share knowledge.
