Full-Time Missionary & Community Service Representative

Serving as a missionary in Manchester, England, was one of the most defining experiences of my life. During two years of service, I taught gospel principles, led spiritual discussions, and worked to create environments of trust, belonging, and personal growth. Beyond teaching, I was entrusted with leadership, technical, and creative responsibilities that helped strengthen the mission and expand its outreach.

Over time, I trained eight new missionaries as they entered the field, helping them develop teaching skills, refine their finding approaches, and adapt to the challenges of missionary life. I also worked closely with mission leaders to identify and support missionaries who were struggling, improving morale and helping create a culture of encouragement and accountability.

One of my most impactful contributions was designing and building the Online Reimbursement System, which streamlined financial processes for the mission and simplified administrative work. I also helped manage mission technology, optimizing digital systems and leading training on how to use social media effectively for outreach. This included building an advertisement landing page that improved lead management and strengthened online engagement.

My creative work included recording, editing, and producing mission videos, taking photos at major events, and helping manage digital archives. I was also asked to produce an entire mission-wide music event, coordinating narration, music, technical setups, and broadcast logistics. Each project helped me blend creativity with organization, ensuring that every detail, from camera angles to sound checks, contributed to a unified message of faith and community.

Outside of official responsibilities, I immersed myself in British culture through service and outreach. I volunteered at shelters, local charities, and community projects, which helped bridge cultural gaps and build meaningful connections with residents. I was also featured in a BBC documentary that explored the daily life of missionaries in the UK, sharing what it means to serve others and live with purpose.

Throughout my mission, I learned discipline, teamwork, and how to live within a strict budget. I earned a reputation among senior couples for maintaining one of the cleanest and most organized living spaces in the mission. More importantly, I learned that leadership is about service; it is helping others succeed, finding joy in their growth, and fostering unity even in challenging circumstances.
